Friend of a Friend is a private membership community for women in marketing and creative professions across Europe. These Terms of Service govern your membership and use of our community platforms.

By applying for membership, completing payment, or participating in any Friend of a Friend community platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms you may not join or participate in the community.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alison Feldmann Consulting B.V.
Friend of a Friend membership is open to professionals who are:
We reserve the right to decline any application at our sole discretion without being required to provide a reason. Submitting an application does not guarantee membership.
We offer two membership plans:
Prices are not inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Your VAT treatment will be determined and added at checkout based on your location.
All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By completing payment you also agree to Paddle's terms of service available at paddle.com/legal. Paddle is the legal seller of your membership subscription.
New members joining for the first time receive a 7 day free trial before billing begins. This applies to monthly plans only. Annual plans are billed in full at the time of purchase.
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will receive a reminder email before your annual renewal date.
We reserve the right to change membership pricing. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the new price you may cancel before the change takes effect.
You may cancel your membership at any time through your account portal or by emailing hello@friendofafriend.community. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the community until that date.
Monthly memberships: we do not offer refunds for partial months.
Annual memberships: if you cancel within 14 days of your annual payment and have not made substantial use of the community during that period, you are entitled to a full refund under EU consumer protection law. After 14 days annual memberships are non-refundable except at our discretion.
If your membership is terminated by Friend of a Friend due to a breach of these terms, no refund will be issued for any remaining membership period.
Friend of a Friend is a high-trust private community. By joining you agree to uphold the following standards in all community spaces including Slack, events, and any other platforms we operate.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, engaged in conduct harmful to other members or the community, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Where possible we will notify you of a concern and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action. In cases of serious or repeated breach we may terminate membership immediately without prior notice.
Upon termination of your membership:
You may leave the community at any time in accordance with section 4.1. We ask that you do so in good faith and do not use the community in bad faith in the period before cancellation takes effect.
All content created by Friend of a Friend including but not limited to session recordings, written materials, frameworks, and community resources is owned by Friend of a Friend or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content outside the community without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you post in the community. By posting content you grant Friend of a Friend a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the community platforms for the purposes of operating the community. We will not use your content for any other purpose without your consent.
Community sessions may be recorded for the benefit of members who cannot attend. You will be notified before any recording takes place. By participating in a recorded session you consent to the recording being shared within the community. Recordings are not shared publicly without explicit consent from all participants.
Events and programming are available to active paying members. We reserve the right to change event formats, frequency, and content at any time.
Community standards as outlined in section 5 apply to all events whether online or in person.
Where in-person events are organised additional terms may apply and will be communicated in advance.
Friend of a Friend provides a community platform and introductions in good faith. We do not guarantee any specific professional outcomes, introductions, job offers, business opportunities, or results from membership.
We are not responsible for the conduct of individual members or the outcome of any interactions, introductions, collaborations, or business relationships that arise through the community. Members engage with each other at their own discretion and risk.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep community platforms available and functional but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from platform downtime or technical issues.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with your membership shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
If you have a complaint or concern about your membership please contact us first at hello@friendofafriend.community. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve disputes informally before any formal proceedings are initiated.
As a consumer based in the EU you may also have access to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued membership after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version is always available at www.friendofafriend.community/terms.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Friend of a Friend with respect to your membership and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
